What do you folks think about a symbol or a logo?
Other Step It Up campaigns have used the arrow, representing the "up" part.
One group (the one with the people making the symbol on the snow) used the footprint.
I did a quick google search for "symbols of leadership" and discovered that animal tracks are a Native North American symbol for leadership (and authority). The tracks, or footprints, also represent a few other things:
- the "step" part of Step It Up
- the plight of the polar bear (or other bears under pressure from carbon-intensity activities such as oil and gas production)
- the concept of the carbon footprint (and the need to reduce it)
I think I'm a pretty big fan of using bear tracks for our symbol. I can think of a few ways we could use them, but I'd love to hear what you folks think about the idea.

Two sets of footprints - one big and one small - could symbolize 1. reducing the carbon footprint and 2. future generations.
